Terms of service
Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to repair, diagnosis, courier and technical support services provided by Art Electronics, Unit 4, 180 Wood Street, Rugby, CV21 2YX.
1. Repair assessment and approval
We assess devices and provide a repair recommendation and price before carrying out paid repair work. A £20 diagnostic assessment may apply where the fault is not known in advance. If you approve the repair, the £20 is deducted from the repair price. If you do not proceed, you receive a transferable £20 voucher towards a future repair with Art Electronics.
2. No successful repair
Where a paid repair is not successful, we do not charge a repair fee. The diagnostic assessment, parts already approved and any agreed third-party or courier charges remain payable where applicable.
3. Customer approval and parts
We may need to order parts. Repair times are estimates and can change depending on parts availability, device condition and the complexity of the fault. We will contact you before carrying out work that is different from the approved quote.
4. Warranty
Completed repairs include a 30-day warranty for the work carried out. The warranty does not cover accidental, impact, liquid or physical damage, misuse, tampering, unrelated faults or normal wear. The warranty remedy is normally a further assessment and, where appropriate, a repair of the original fault.
5. Data and passwords
You are responsible for backing up your data and removing confidential information where possible. We take reasonable care, but cannot guarantee that data will be preserved during repair. Please provide passwords only when necessary for testing.
6. Collection and identification
Please bring your collection receipt. If it is unavailable, we may ask for the phone number recorded on the repair, a description of the fault and the agreed price before releasing the device.
7. Water-damaged devices
Bring water-damaged devices to us as soon as possible. Do not charge, switch on or dry them with a hairdryer. We cannot guarantee recovery of liquid-damaged devices.
8. Courier repairs
Courier collection is arranged after contact by email. Customers must package devices securely and provide accurate contact and delivery details. Courier charges and transit risks are explained before collection.
9. Uncollected devices
Please collect your device when we notify you that it is ready. If a device remains uncollected, we will try to contact you using the details provided and may charge reasonable storage or handling costs where permitted.
10. Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer or excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
